
A deeper journey through El Salvador: San Salvador’s Historic Center by night, the Volcano Complex and Santa Ana, then the archaeological treasures of Joya de Cerén, San Andrés, and the colonial town of Suchitoto.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Airport / San Salvador Airport pickup and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, a night tour of the city’s landmarks: the Monument to the Divine Savior of the World, Cuscatlán Park, the Historic Center, the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral (home to Archbishop Óscar Romero’s crypt), Libertad Square, and El Rosario Church. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 – San Salvador / Volcano Complex / Santa Ana / San Salvador Breakfast included. Visit the Volcano Complex, home to the Santa Ana and Izalco volcanoes and Cerro Verde, with viewpoints over Lake Coatepeque along the «Window to Nature» trail. Continue to the city of Santa Ana to see its neo-Gothic Cathedral, the Santa Ana Theater, and the Santaneco Casino. Return to San Salvador for overnight stay.
Day 3 – San Salvador / Suchitoto / San Salvador Breakfast included. Visit Joya de Cerén, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as «the Pompeii of the Americas,» and the nearby San Andrés archaeological site. Continue to the colonial town of Suchitoto to see Santa Lucía Church and take part in an indigo dyeing class. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4 – El Salvador / Airport Breakfast included. Transfer to the airport at the scheduled time. End of services.
